Michael Fox

Michael has an extensive background in health and social care within and outside the NHS. He worked in a range of NHS senior posts in Islington and Tower Hamlets before becoming Chief Executive of the Barking and Havering Family Health Services Authority in 1992. In 1995 he was appointed as the first Chief Executive of the City and Hackney Community and Mental Healthcare Trust, and had the task of setting up the new organisation, including the successful completion of a complex multi-site reprovision programme.

He was the founding Chief Executive of the Prince of Wales's health charity, the Foundation for Integrated Health whose aim was to encourage the integration of complementary and conventional approaches to healthcare. In addition, he was Chairman for five years of London Cyrenians Housing which provides housing, care and support for vulnerable people, and was a Trustee of a national Drugs charity.

Michael was a Board Member of the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) which licenses drugs and medical devices for the UK from 2003 to 2012.

He is a Lay Chair/Lay Assessor for the London Deanery.
