Getting wrongly detained while Working on my report in the;
Chase Farm Mental Hospital on an Assessment Wing!
00:15:
I am still awake working on my computer and I am really hunger I decided to ask the staff on
duty if I could go to the petrol station to buy some food
When I arrived at the office there was 3 staff available and no other persons in the
communal area
I explained that because of the extra time that I have been putting into my work
I burn away more energy and this sometimes leaves me starving hungry.
I got laughed at and told no, I asked why and got told that this is because it was late at night
This led me to explaining in a very polite voice again about how hungry I was and further
explain that I am a fully-grown man who Is only under an assessment 2 of the Mental Health
Act.
10:30: -- Doctor Greenside came into my room and asked me to have a meeting
21:49: I was inside of the communal hall eating some toast at toast time and drinking some
hot chocolate
While sitting down I could see into the staff office as it has a clear glass window and I could
see Bibi my care coordinator she left the office and went up to the medication room.
“While this was going on I watch Nurse Daisy come into the same room, I had noticed that
she had been funny with me since I got here in so many words that she never took a liking
to me, what she said was how are you feeling today to me in front of every one in a sarcastic
voice I replied to her comment by saying the following How do you think I am feeling
today?”
She looked at me funny and gave no reply as she done, she started to walk out of the room.
She walked up the corridor and went into the medication room were Bibi was.
I soon afterwards noticed her presence in the room once again but this time she had
medication with her.
I studied her as she walked up to the patient beside me with caution., due to my earlier
conversation with Doctor Greenside and with rightfully cause as she had what seemed like
more medication in her hands ready to administer to other people.
The next thing I knew she was saying to me with a smile on her face Simon take your
medication, I looked at her in disbelief and replied to her that I had explained to Doctor
Greenside that I did not wish to take medication under his professional belief alone and that
while under a section two of the mental health act I did not ned to take the medication by
law.
She stormed of and told me that she is going to document down that I would not take the
medication of her.
I watched her walk back of to the medication room I decided to go and complain about my
concerns and when I also arrived at the medication room, I could see Bibi and Daisy talking
to each other and the tablets still in the pot that Daisy was still carrying.
Being worried about my medical care I asked the following questions to the two staff
present.
1) I never got given any Pliff / form explaining to me what the medication was neither did
any staff talk to me about what medication I was to be take.
