Dear Trishna,
You will see that I have copied you and Mrs Cordell to my email to the Court, enclosing an
application notice
to appoint Mrs Cordell as Simon's litigation friend. Following the report produced by Dr
Dhinakaran on 7th July 2018 which confirms Mr Cordell's lacks of capacity to litigate, we
believe that it will be reasonable that Mr Cordell be assisted by a litigation friend. Giving
Lorraine Cordell's involvement in this case we are of the view that she will be the best
person to be appointed as a litigation friend. I have copied Mrs Cordell to this email
correspondence as she's expected to be served and to respond to the application at the
hearing. I will be grateful if you could seek instructions from Mr Cordell and let me know
whether the application will be agreed or opposed. I would also like to have Mrs Cordell's
position in response to the application ahead of the hearing. I have asked that the
application be dealt with by DJ Dias at the hearing on 9 August 2018, 10am. I look forward
to hearing from you.
