registration number, make/model of the vehicle, the exact date of sale/transfer/scrapping and

Please note we are issuing automatic acknowledgement letters to confirm that keepers are no
longer responsible for the vehicle. If you do not receive the confirmation letter within 4
weeks, please contact us. If you have received a penalty letter from DVLA you should follow
the instructions on the letter you have received. If, however, you believe there are
circumstances which should be brought to the attention of the enforcement centre, you must
put these in writing using "the statement" section on the reverse of the penalty letter. This
information will then be considered before any further action is taken on this individual
enforcement case. You should receive a response to any appeal within 24
weeks.
